Joining Hobart Toshi Dojo

All future students are welcome to join Hobart Toshi Dojo anytime, just pop along to a scheduled class and aim to arrive at least 20 minutes before class commences.

Your first class

Your first class is free! Wear comfortable clothing and no jewellery and start your journey! Ongoing training and purchasing a uniform (Gi) to wear with your belt (Obi) can be discussed following class.

Getting there

We are located at the Polish Club, 20 New Town Road in New Town, Tasmania (enter via the blue metal doors located on Clare Street).

Trained before?

If you have trained in karate before, come along to a class and discuss continuing your karate journey with us. You can also email Chief Instructor Christine at hobarttoshidojo@gmail.com if you have any questions about recommencing your karate practice with Hobart Toshi Dojo.

CLASS HOURS

Fridays

Doors open 5pm.
All ages class from 5.30pm - 7.00pm (basics)
All ages kata only class from 7.15pm - 8.30pm

Saturdays

Doors open 9.30am
All ages class from 10.00am - 11.30am (basics)

ANNUAL FEES

Club membership and insurance

$72.50 for 12 months, payable on commencement of training with
Hobart Toshi Dojo club.

This fee includes insurance through Karate Australia, as well as the right to participate in competitions for those who wish to do so.

CLASS FEES

Class fees are paid prior to each class and both cash or card is accepted.

Payment options

$20 for the first class attended per week.
$10 for any subsequent classes attended in the same week.

Alternatively: Payment of $520 in January or July per year and attendance at any class is covered during the six month period.
